I was recently Media Accredited to attend Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Joburg SS17 #MBFWJ17 by African Fashion International , which I mark as one of my greatest achievements thus far. Coming over there in Johannesburg, South Africa as an International Blogger I thought I might as well share where I was staying before I share what Designers and other Creatives had in store for us.
I think I knew about this accreditation about a month in advance and the behind the scenes of preparing for such a prestigious event can be so overwhelming. Taking credit for my #MBFWJ17 home would be me selling you dreams. I was actually privileged to travel with another Blogger (Adventures of a Village Boy).He introduced me to this Travel App(Airbnb) which I highly recommend that you check it out. Airbnb is a platform where you can check out Hotels, Lodges, Private rooms and apartments to stay wherever you go. Basically it is your plug when it comes to your holiday home.
On Airbnb we spotted a Gorgeous Loft Apartment in Melville hosted by Anel. This apartment has right from the front entrance an exquisite sparkling swimming pool, Patio, BBQ Facility, Open plan Dining area with a fitted Kitchen,2 rooms(with 2 beds),2.5 bath(2 showers & Jacuzzi Bath),lounge & bar facility area downstairs and another swimming pool at the back.

Other amenities in this very colourful apartment is a Premium DSTV connection, WiFi, Smoking Allowed, Breakfast(On request),Laundry washer & Dryer,Iron,Hangers and Beauty products. It wouldn’t be fair to not credit Anel’s great team of hosts; Johan , Letta & Msawawa. They’re all friendly with lovely energies.

You might be wondering why we were staying there (about 23mins away from Mall of Africa), right! Basically this apartment is located 5mins away from student and tourist area (Campus Sq.) where you can find almost any store you may be interested in, a perfect area for cosmopolitan crowd. Another thing to note is that the neighbourhood is chilled and safe as far as I’ve experienced.

Interms of eating we didn’t really spend a huge amount of money in and out of Restaurants. As much as we want to lead a sophisticated lifestyle we’re of course doing so on a budget .We popped out exactly R200 each and trust me we made the best decision ever by doing so. We got into PnP store and bought groceries. Luckily we had a great cook(Tumie) who prepared breakfast and Lunch for us before heading to evening shows where we were ushered with finger foods, Drinks and Dessert.

Just so I reconfirm, yes we had this whole apartment to the three of us. Best way to travel is to partner with others and share costs. Should you need help booking into this apartment or any just contact me and I’ll do my best to assist otherwise check out other snaps of this gorgeous loft.

Don’t forget to stay tuned to my other POSTS of the actual #MBFWJ17 shows, After Party and whom I spotted.

Till next time
